Television to love

Sylvester does great things with the small and the big screen. You know us for programmes and films that capture not only your living room, but also your heart.

Authentic television with character. Fiction, factual and non-fiction. Compelling in word, image and story. How could it be otherwise? As one of the longest existing Flemish TV houses, we let 25 years of experience sparkle in every frame.

Making beautiful television, that’s what we are good at at Sylvester. Giving image to imagination. Telling the unspoken. In short: television to love.

Television that is talked about

Sylvester has been the trusted companion of television watching Flanders for years. And with our creations we conquer a place in the life of every day. From casual chats at the coffee machine to forthright chats among friends.

That is what our production company does: touching, grasping life and broaching subjects that loosen tongues.

Television to think about

You may not realise it, but making television is acrobatics. An exercise in balance. Dancing on a bar we set surprisingly high for ourselves and balancing on it. Between freedom and restriction, emotion and story, showing and hiding.

And we balance with full gusto. The focus tightly on the story and everyone who plays their part in it. So that it rolls naturally into living rooms and strikes the right chord there. So that the viewer is happy to open the door for us in the next episode too.

Television that touches

When we enter somewhere, we wipe our feet neatly. It’s no different with our programmes. Good, we want to Touch. Set in motion and shake the tree, sometimes. Zap again to Sense of Tumour. Or The Tax Authorities. And you’ll know what we mean.

But the camera is not running at any cost. We create with an unwavering belief in the pure, honest power of television. And that includes respect. For the viewer. For the client. For those who bare their hearts and dare to share their stories. Being able to look everyone straight in the eye before, during and after the creation. That is the spearhead of our approach.

Television that is worthwhile. Always.

Television must have something to say. It has to be worthwhile.

And our people, who know how to do that.
