Where circular thinking took a turn.
On April 17, 2024, more than 500 people gathered at The Square in Brussels for the OVAM Circular Economy Conference. The theme? Circular economy, but far from boring. We brought it to life with a fashion show, site visits, and a full day of workshops that truly woke people up. As production lead, we ensured everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Spoiler: it did.
Circular in action.
The day kicked off in The Gold Hall with a plenary session. But the moment that really grabbed everyone’s attention? Michael Schack’s performance, which seamlessly transitioned into a fashion show featuring circular clothing pieces. From theory to catwalk in one move, and it worked.
After that, participants could choose from workshops and keynotes spread across nearly all the rooms at The Square. In depth insights, concrete ideas, and meaningful conversations filled the agenda. Two groups also headed out by bus for site visits to places where circular economy is truly put into practice.
The circle was complete.
Between sessions, attendees enjoyed cookies from De Bottelarij and freshly brewed coffee. A warm atmosphere, a full program, and tangible action. The day blended inspiration, practice, and lasting energy.
