30 Years of Sylvester Celebrated with an Inspiring Hybrid Event.

In 2023, Sylvester marked its 30th anniversary with a unique hybrid event that perfectly showcased our core values: inspiration, creativity, and connection. On November 30 and December 1, we welcomed a diverse audience of partners, clients, and colleagues, both live and online. It was a true celebration, reflecting on our past while looking ahead to the future.

In the charming venue of Canapé Tervuren, VRT journalist Meryem El Mandoudi guided the audience through a compelling two-day program. Day one focused on employer branding, featuring powerful keynotes by Ann De Bisschop (The Circle of Wellbeing) and Lode Godderis (IDEWE). Day two dived deep into trends and artificial intelligence, offering fresh insights from Tom Palmaerts (Trendwolves) and Frederik De Bosschere (In The Pocket).

A creative twist.

Each day concluded with a memorable highlight: computer scientist and Nerdlander Jeroen Baert delivered a creative—and often hilarious—talk on A.I. Another standout moment was the speech by Sylvester CEO Geert Vanoverschelde. Accompanied by musical talents from our own team and set to Coldplay’s Viva La Vida, he delivered an original ‘parlando’ that beautifully captured Sylvester’s innovative and creative spirit.

And as if that weren’t enough, 30 years of Sylvester was organized as a fully hybrid experience, streamed live via our proprietary online platform MEEPLE.

After the engaging sessions, it was time for conversations and connections. A delicious walking dinner, catered by Canapé Tervuren and chef Jeroen De Pauw, provided the perfect opportunity for networking. Later, the dance floor came alive for those ready to let loose.

30 years of Sylvester stood out because every phase — pre-event, live experience, and post-event — smoothly came together.

It all started with a smart save-the-date, allowing guests to choose the day that best suited them in terms of timing and content.

During the event itself, we focused on creating an immersive experience: personalized welcomes, interactive sessions, and culinary highlights. Every detail was designed to fully engage our audience. The hybrid format enabled dynamic interactions, both in-person and online.

Even after the event, we kept the connection alive. Using an innovative AI tool, guests could upload a selfie and quickly find all event photos featuring them — no endless scrolling required. This personalized approach offered a fast, user-friendly way to relive the memories.

This resulted in a journey that resonated with the audience from start to finish and lingered long after the event ended.
