Sinterklaas and the waking nights
The new Saint Nicholas film from Sylvester and Ketnet is now in cinemas! ‘Saint Nicholas and the waking nights’ was directed by Stijn Coninx to a screenplay by Hugo Matthysen.
When Saint Nicholas and Black Pete walk the rooftops at night, they are startled by strange nocturnal noise: from bell ringing to popping balloons and even a drum kit. The whole town lies awake night after night and the locals are angry with Saint Nicholas, thinking he is causing the noise. Just by chance, the shrewd businesswoman Frutselia runs a shop, selling special sleep remedies, which has been doing very well since the night noise. Saint Nicholas is very sad that people are angry with him. There is only one thing to do: Saint Nicholas must prove his innocence. You can see how that ends from October 24th in cinemas.
The film was made with the cooperation of Jan Decleir, Frans Van der Aa, Pieter Embrechts, Lucas Van den Eynde, Els Dottermans, Warre Borgmans, Adriaan Van den Hoof, Jonas Van Geel, Evelien Bosmans, Karlijn Sileghem and many others.
‘Saint Nicholas and the waking nights’ is a collaboration of Ketnet, Eén, Sylvester, Telenet, Screen Flanders, VAF and Kinepolis Film Distribution (KFD).
