Proud 2 be vdab: briefing, bbq, beats.

On Friday, October 18, 2024, 800 VDAB employees from the province of Antwerp gathered at KMDA. The theme? Proud 2 Be VDAB. The concept? A day filled with briefings, keynotes and, yes, a proper party. Because after a full day of information, there should be room for dancing too, right?

Full focus, full dance floor.

Upon arrival, everyone received a badge with a magnet. No torn clothes, everything stayed perfectly in place. Drinks and bites were ready so participants could start the provincial briefing and keynotes with plenty of energy. The plenary session concluded with Dagmar Van Gucht and Tom Palmaerts, who spoke about AI.

Once the briefings wrapped up, it was time to unwind. A jazz trio played at the open bar, and those who had signed up in advance stayed for the KMDA BBQ. Then came the moment everyone was waiting for: the DJ, a fellow VDAB colleague, brought the house down. Drink in hand, colleagues all around, and the dance floor quickly filled up. That is how you end a day the right way.

Laughing for later

For those taking a break from the dance floor, there was plenty to enjoy. The actors from BIL provided lively entertainment, and the photo booth was ready for fun snapshots. Those photos were later turned into a mosaic wall that now hangs permanently in the headquarters. From keynote to snapshot, from briefing to BBQ, this day delivered from start to finish.
