Digital new year’s reception.

In early January 2021, the New Year’s Reception for the staff of the Department of Work and Social Economy was on our agenda. For obvious reasons, this time it was an online edition, but no less enjoyable!

We created a programme full of interaction and entertainment for the WSE Department that really got employees actively involved in the whole event. For instance, they were on the edge of their seats during the bell game, a musical intermezzo was performed by colleagues, some employees took on hilarious challenges and learned the deepest secrets of cocktail making during a professionally delivered cocktail workshop.

Beforehand, all employees were sent a box with a snack and the ingredients to make the most delicious drinks together with the cocktail shaker. So there was a live toast – because hey, it was still a New Year’s reception! – and so both the head of WSE and host Wim De Vilder raised their glasses in a beautiful setting built in an authentic Christmas barn in Bierbeek.
