Studio Community Week met POAB

Community week.

For the third time (!) since the start of the corona crisis, Port of Antwerp used Meeple, the Sylvester-developed platform for online events.

This time on the programme: Community Week. Every year, Port of Antwerp organises a networking event to inform and inspire the port community (importers/exporters, shipping companies, forwarders, logistics players, transport operators, etc), to give its partners the opportunity to join the conversation and let participants expand their network in an interactive way.

During the week of February 22nd 2021, several virtual sessions were organised, spread over three consecutive days on topics including Port of Antwerp’s future plans, ECA (Extra Container Capacity) and the transition to sustainable shipping. There were also a lot of great names on the programme. For example, in the newly equipped studio of PFL in Antwerp Expo, we welcomed Jacques Vandermeiren (CEO Port of Antwerp), Annick De Ridder (Port of Antwerp alderman), Dirk De fauw (Mayor of Bruges), Tom Hautekiet (CEO Port of Zeebrugge), Adrian Monck (Managing Director World Economic Forum) from the studio in Geneva and many others.

The online event featured 24 speakers, in keynotes and panel discussions under the guidance of moderator Ianka Fleerackers, who were able to convince five hundred interested parties to sign up for this first Port of Antwerp online Community Week.
