On January 1^st 2021, CEO Simon Bulterys closed the door of his office at IDEWE behind him, for the last time. We could not let such a special moment go unnoticed. 

From the beautiful setting of Théatre du Vaudeville, we organised a digital farewell at our online event venue MEEPLE.

Host Wim De Vilder and co-host Ingrid De Witte (played by Hilde De Man) smoothly glued together a programme full of speeches by colleagues and family members. Together, we discovered Simon’s Wikipedia page and made funny videos with the theme “What If?!”. What if, for example, Simon had not made certain strategic choices for IDEWE?

There was no shortage of animation either. Among other things, the virtual IDEWE choir performed a special version of “I’m sailing”. We concluded all this beauty with a digital toast. Cheers, Simon! Cheers, IDEWE!
