StuDay 2024.

Every fall, STAN kicks off the academic year with StuDay: Antwerp’s ultimate student festival. A vibrant space where music, comedy, art, self-care, and inclusion come together. An event that doesn’t just get students dancing, but also encourages them to pause—reflecting on themselves, on each other, and on the student year ahead.

The location was already set: Spoor Oost, on the edge of Antwerp, offering ample possibilities for production, backstage areas, multiple stages, and parking. The target audience (Antwerp students) was clearly defined, and STAN had a clear mission: to build a festival where everyone feels welcome, combining substance, fun, and a focus on self-care.

Together with STAN, we developed a concept that was truly broad. We built multiple stages with different genres to cater to all musical tastes; created spaces for comedy, talks, and live podcasts; organized sessions on self-care, yoga, and sports; and highlighted wellness topics such as racism, sexuality, drugs, and mental health.

For the latter, we collaborated with Safe ’n Sound, an Antwerp-based non-profit that supports young people in an accessible way around these topics. Creating a safe, welcoming environment was a top priority for everyone.

We ensured a cohesive program, a dynamic and immersive scenography, and an overall experience in which students felt seen—paying attention to form, vibe, and content.

It became a festival where students came not only to celebrate but also to connect—with themselves, with others, and with the new student life that awaits them in Antwerp.
