Sense of Tumour.

In the tragicomic fiction series Sense of tumour, the life of Tristan Devriendt, a 25-year-old medical student, is completely turned upside down: he suddenly gets cancer and thus becomes a patient himself. It’s an authentic story of suffering and love but also laughter in times of tumour.

The eight-part series was developed by Leander Verdievel, Mathias Claeys and Tom Goris. Sense of tumour was based on testimonies of real (ex-)cancer patients, to make the series as recognisable as possible. Besides Maarten Nulens, Els Dottermans, Dirk Van Dijck, Marthe Schneider, Barbara Sarafian, Liesa Naert and Vic De Wachter, among others, complete the cast.
