20 Years of Guardianship: An Anniversary Filled with Moving Stories.

On September 13, 2024, the Guardianship Service of the FPS Justice celebrated its 20th anniversary at Flagey in Ixelles. Twenty years during which guardians and partners have been fully committed to Unaccompanied Foreign Minors (UFMs). For the Guardianship Service, this was their very first event since its establishment, making it an immediate challenge. We supported them in ensuring they achieved their goal: to thank all guardians and partners and offer them heartfelt encouragement.

Former wards as a voice of gratitude.

To give the message even greater impact, we exclusively involved former wards to personally honor their former guardians once again. Several musical interludes allowed the young people to showcase their talents, accompanied by Lennaert Maes. These were touching moments that truly resonated and lingered long after.

Dishes that bring people together.

For the catering, we provided several food stands featuring dishes from Morocco, Syria, and Afghanistan—a deliberate choice that honored the diversity and backgrounds of the young people. It became a wonderful celebration, with many guardians leaving deeply moved.
