The Tall Ships Races Antwerp.

Back to Cases

The Tall Ships’ Races is an internationally renowned sailing competition, organized by Sail Training International. The majestic ships, also known as the cathedrals of the sea, are the focal point as they lay ashore. They are manned by 4.000 young people (between the age of 15 and 25) and 400 officers of 30 different nationalities. People can enjoy these vessels for 4 days straight on the pedestrian boulevard, from the Steenplein to the Rijnkaai. To conclude the event, the world’s most beautiful and biggest sailing ships take off at the Scheldekaaien and in the proximity of ‘t Eilandje in an impressive sail off, a race to the South. Furthermore, this event embodies a three day festival with parades and concerts, lots of stationary and mobile entertainment, as well as an extensive and original range of catering for the public. In a nutshell: a celebration of navigation and Antwerp as the city on the stream. Organizing an event of this extent is a work of art, requiring an enormous amount of expertise on mutiple levels. The two most recent editions have come to life thanks to our large team and years of experience. The latest edition even received an excellent satisfaction rate from both contestants and audience.
