On the International Day of the Girl Child, Plan Belgium gave the starting signal for a campaign against child marriages. They did so with an event in the presence of dozens of Plan Parents and their families. 27 girls, a symbolic reference to the amount of girls that is involved in an arranged marriage every minute worldwide, payed tribute to their peers in Africa and Asia. Ambassador Koen Wauters presented the gripping campaign video together with his wife Valerie and daughter Zita. Next to the coordination of the event, Sylvester took care of the production of the campaign video. Stijn Coninx was in charge of directing the video. The commercial ran on Vitaya, VTM, Eén and online.
